Vodafone´s goal was to present their new music label. They decided to organize a demo contest, with an independent character. Waskam created a campaign based on representative urban concepts that made the streets the instrument with which the new service was introduced, using a modern language that can be heard around the city. At the same time, we gave priority to the presence of the contest in the internet, music forums, music magazines and blogs for music addicts; to the point of creating a blog that contained the cantabric band “Los 400 Golpes”´s detailed day to day. All of that next to the urban campaign made out of graffiti paintings, demands from other bands that wanted to show their demos, flyers, stickers and actor animations. This created a grand expectation which was confirmed by the numerous bands that participated in the contest and sent their demos. Apart from the internet, the urban campaign took place in the following cities: Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid, Sevilla and Bilbao. In all of these cities, “deft” concerts where presented. These concerts consisted on bands that played on a stage full with advertisement and the only way you could listen to them was through your cell phone. All of this campaign was divided in phases that were chronologically put together throughout the two months. The campaign ended with a big closure in the club Pachá where the winning band Statuas d Sal was revealed.
